18 and Cold-Crea Diem and Vintage Winter layouts

The time has come for us in the DT to start posting our creations! I am so honoured to be a part of this talented team and I am so excited to start filling this blog with inspiration.

I will post my creations every second Tuesday, starting today. You are more then welcome to visit me at my own cozy place Kottens Corner any other time if you would like to see other things I have created.

Since it is TCR time I thought it appropriate to start out with my two TCR creations that I have made so far. The first one is based on the palette number 96 using the gorgeous Crea Diem collection.
This is me on my 18th birthday. Did I look innocent and naive or what? LOL.

I have distressed and layered four papers from the Crea Diem collection ( “Kärleken Övervinner Allt”, “Sin Lyckas Smed”, “Fylld Av Kärlek”, “Av Hela Mitt Hjärta”) as a base.

I have used a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page set (Eyelet Lace) for the border. All papers have been distressed with Distress Ink Black Soot.

The black gate has been stamped with a Prima stamp using Distress Ink Black Soot. Letters by Tim Holtz (Alpha Parts Ransom). Silver pearls have been made with Pearl Maker Silver.

The blue paper with text on is from the Crea Diem paper called “Blomstra”. The green paper is called “Stark och Fri”. The fussy cutting has been cut out from the “Leva och Växa” paper.

Heart pins from Inkido, rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have used the Daisy Fan border punch by Martha Stewart on the “Blomstra” paper.

The swirl stamp has been in a drawer for years, I used it with Distress Ink Victorian Velvet. The pink rose is from Prima, so is the bird house (Shabby Chic collection). The blue rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I bought this ribbon at Michaels four years ago. It always get handy in the end. :) The big pearl is from Tim Holtz, pink flowers from a LSS, the roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

And here is the palette. You can still use all the TCR palettes, they are all in the palettes section to inspire you.

My second layout I will share today is the Vintage Winter layout I made using the TCR palette number 97.

This is me on a beach by the west coast that I used to visit, all year around. Sometimes, like this day, it was a bit too cold…

The background papers I have used are “Trivs I Kylan” and “Snögubbar”. The brown punched paper is “Vi Önskar Er”. The blue checked one is “Varm Pläd”. The circles have been made with “Varm Choklad”.

I just love the fussy cuttings you can make out of the “Trivs I Kylan” paper, they make excellent highlighters. The flowers have been made with the Tim Holtz/Sizzix die Tattered Florals, some Walnut Stain Distress Ink and Pearl Maker Cream. I have used “Trivs I Kylan”, “Varm Pläd”, “Varm Choklad”, “Det Är Kyligt Ute” and “December” for the flowers. Punch by Martha Stewart.

The three circular papers have been distresed with my Distrezz It All and machine stitched together. The large doily was found in a market. Pearls made with Pearl Maker Cream. I made a flower that I cut in half and put one half in this corner. And the other half under the doily. More fussy cutting and stitching…

And here is the palette I’ve been playing with…

I hope you got some inspiration. Take care and I’ll see you in two weeks!

  1. Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any suggestions for newbie blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.

    • Hi
Thanks a lot. :) I try to think about what I look for in blogs that I read myself. I like blogs that stick to the subject (scrapbooking in this case) and gives you detailed descriptions of what techniques you are using. So I try to keep my blog clean from non-scrapbooking stuff and work hard to make my postings as informative as possible.

      Good luck!
