The lanterns are burning on the porch, my house is filled up with laughing people. Lucia is here with all the delicious pastries and mulled wine. I just want to to wish you all a very nice evening. I hope you’ve listened to wonderful caroling and had tons of Lucia cats.
I can now proudly present the new Maja collection – “A Gift for You”!
The feeling that spreads all over while enjoying this wonderful art is – Christmas time, candle lights, cozy by the fire place, snow, sparkling cold and lovingly warm at the same time and of course, an exciting feeling that Santa Claus soon will be coming with his reindeers..
This wonderful creation will be released September 29th – please make sure that your nearest store will have it in stock for you!
See you soon!
As you read last weekend our beloved Nadia has decided to step down to spend more time with her family. We think she made the right decision and wish her all the best in her future. Here are a couple of Nadia’s beautiful creations that she has created for us.
Nadia’s wonderful replacement is no stranger… Please welcome back the talented Cathy Lane from South Africa.
Here are a few of her layouts that she has made for us in the past…I hope you will find Cathy’s work inspiring.
And… I am going to share a CT position with Cathy, so you will also see some of my work. Here are a few Maja creations I have done in the past…
I went to an event in Hjärtum, Sweden, a couple of weeks ago to meet up with our fans. We had a Maja quiz, gave away some goodies and chatted with some scrappers. It turned out to be a lot of fun.Milo and Anna Lilja are two driving spirits that arranges this event twice a year. I met so many talented artists and got so much inspiration. It was a lot of fun to sneak over everybody’s shoulders. Their styles were all so different and the creativity was absolutely flowing.A big thank you to all the wonderful ladies that made this day so special.
There’s a smell of newly baked sponge cake in the air. The raspberries are ready to be harvested and the roses are in full bloom. The bees are busy working the flourishing garden. The white furniture from times of old has been repainted and looks almost new. The sun warms up the last grass straws that are still covered in due. The coffee is waiting in the arbour.
Our latest collection will be a new favourite for our Fika fans. This time we have moved ourselves with our tea cups out in the garden. So sit back, drink some lemonade and let the sun warm your winterlegs while waiting for the collection to reach a store near you.
This months Mood Board has generated so many beautiful projects…

Our next Mood Board is full of life and Easter feelings. It’s light colours and dreams of the warming sun will sure keep you inspired for the coming month. There is now a second reason for you not to miss it. I will pick one of our Seasonal Girls (Winter) among the Mood Board contributions this year. That means that you will get a box of Vintage Frost Basics to play with and become a guest in our cozy little corner…
And. Speaking of Seasonal Girls. Our first Spring Girl made such an impression on us that we decided to keep her. So here’s our new Creative Team member that you will meet on our blog every second Thursday, starting next week…
I am very excited to introduce our third Educator Team member. A very talented artist who creates wonders with paper…

It’s a bit late, but here is our latest member of the Maja crew…
A lot of you has already met my son Joel who was born on October 23rd last year. He was 54 cm tall and his weight was 3665 grams. He’s what my sister calls a Sunshine Child. He is always happy and has never heard of tears or sour faces.
I have mainly used 3rd to 6th of April from the Vintage Spring Basics collection for this little presentation. The background was created with 6th of April, Distress Ink and Texture Paste.I have used Prima’s flocked rub ons and bling. Chipboard from Scrapfx, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Edge punch by Martha Stewart.
This truely is my favourite photo of Joel. We were making gingerbreads for Christmas when I picked him up and his eyes were just shining.
The chipboard has been painted with Gesso and Glimmer Glam.A lot of people ask me what kind of pearls I prefer… I like pearl pens of all kinds. I think it’s easier to create beautiful pearls with them instead of the ones that are in bottles. Large pearls pens are preferable since the small ones are harder to get good results with.I just love to use the stripes of the papers. They are very decorative and add an extra touch. The circular shape has been cut out with a Nestabilities die. The paper is from the Vintage Autumn Basics 6×6 paper pad. I created the mask for the background myself and then used Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. The white corner is from a LSS.
I am so happy to introduce our second MajaDesign Educator. A really sweet and talented person that I have had the honour to meet in person.
